We’re all about saving trees—especially if Elon Musk is going to plant a million of them! But sometimes there are circumstances when you just need that thing printed out, on a piece of paper…that you hold in your hand. These are some of those times. Help yourself.
Okay, first…we’re NOT accountants or tax experts so if in doubt, please consult one of them. But we DO want you to get what you are entitled to. If you purchased a Tesla and took delivery of it in 2019, you are entitled to a federal tax credit. A .pdf of the printable form is below. You may also qualify for a rebate of sorts from the state in which your vehicle is registered. Flat Bed Tow Instructions
More than anything we hope you will never need these instructions. Because that would mean that something unexpected and possibly terrible happened to your car. That would indicate a very stressful situation. We all know that there are very specific, special instructions for towing a distressed Tesla. And that while you can access those instructions on the internet (your cell phone) or the touchscreen in the car. That might not be the best solution, depending on the circumstances. Below is a .pdf taken straight from the Tesla Owner’s Manual. We printed this out for ourselves and laminated the pages. (We live in the Pacific Northwest). Then we put them on top of the under-trunk area. You can do the same.
